1990 Bayliner Cobra fish/ski speed

So I just bought a 17' 1990 Bayliner Cobra, open bow, blah blah blah, picking it up on Saturday. It has a 1979 Merc 90HP on it. Been some arguing amongst my buddies on how fast it will run. I looked up the calculators, but that all depends on boat weight, and I don't have a clue. Any takers on an estimate? I've had answers on anywhere from 35 to 60mph.

With the right prop, low 40s.
