I have a pair of these 200 hp motors on my boat and the starboard motor turns 5800-5900 rpm with 14 1/2 x 19 prop, right at the target according to the book. However the port engine, c.r. same size prop is another story. It has 102/103 lbs on each cylinder, firing on all six, new plugs gapped to .030, fresh gas checked with separate tank, 6 gal plastic, in order to eliminate the in boat tanks. In neutral I can rapidly advance the throttle and on the stbd motor the response is immediate on the port motor it is slow to come up. It has been checked and I keep getting told that it is ok. Running under load, 26' Dusky, stbd will turn 58/5900 while port is turning 48/4900. Can someone please offer some suggestions?
