OK so I believe I have really pulled a good one. sold a 1988 8hp evinrude this spring and gave the guy the service manual I had....cannot get ahold of him and today I was taking the lower unit off my 1990 E15RLESR 15 hp and the unit would not drop smooth so I went to get the manual and low and behold I still have my 8hp one and cannot find the 15 so I figure in the excitement of being handed cash I gave him the wrong one.........ordered a new one but was heading out Monday to the river and need my kicker! Is the shift rod on this motor connected somewhere? The unit dropped about 1/2" but then nothing and again not in the mood to force as that just tends to screw things up.........I do have an old 5.5 but the dual line leaks and its a short shaft and if the wind blows its not enough motor to get me back.....
