ok
My 1990 evinrude 25hp sucks the bulb flat when running at full throtle for five minutes, never did it at 3/4 full throtle.
I know, you are probably thinking that i did not vent the cap, but i do, I even go as far as taking the gas cap off. still does it. I changed the fuel hose and the fuel tank and it still does it. Do you think that it could be a malfuction with the fuel pump?? OR could it be the hose fitting for fuel line are sucking air?(they seem tight)
Any suggestions welcome, I am only 22 with minimal mechanical skills

Is your bulb in the correct direction. If you changed fuel hose and fuel tank, then you got another bad fuel tank or your bulb is backwards. Can't think of any other reason.

Could also be a bad check valve in the bulb or a blockage in the hose on the tank side of the bulb...or a clogged pickup in the tank.

Arrow toward engine. It represents the direction of flow through the bulb.

Arrow points in the direction of fuel flow. Arrow should point towards the motor......
