Just bought a Ranger and the Tach only works at idle. have read lots of post reffering to tach and Rectefiers but have not come to a conclusion yet. if the rect. was bad would the tach work at idle?
Is this the square 5 wire regulator-rectifier?
If it the one i'm thinking of it is not under the flywheel.
The stator and trigger are though.Unless the GT is different than the design i'm thinking of...
Do you have a factory service manual for this motor?
Pricey parts to just be guessing and throwing parts at it without doing further testing.
