1990 Johnson 15hp missing carb part?

got a 1990 15hp Johnson J15RESR. removed the carb to give her a cleaning and noticed that in the parts diagram online there are two gaskets and a spacer piece between them and the manifold and the carb. this motor is missing that part and second gasket.

Its the part shown as no.43 in the diagram but is not in the listing. anyone know this part number?

I looked around at different parts diagrams and couldn't find any #'s either. Looks like it could have been a fuel restrictor to cut down on the horsepower of the motor.

got a hold of a service tech and told him about this...he said I was nuts...he has never seen or heard of this "part". Finally convinced him to look at the diagram and he said "look at that...hmmm...must be a typo..."

Years ago they used to make a fuel restrictor for motors that would cut down the horsepower on a motor so you could run it on certain lakes. That service tech should call BRP customer service and ask them about it. Of course maybe he knows everything. :laugh:
