Motor runs clean everywhere but at idle. It will idle clean then miss or spit! every 2 or 3 seconds and it even gives the motor a little bit of a shake when it spits? What do i do?
Spitting back, sounding like a mild backfire, indicates a carb slow speed restricted jet..... something causing a lean carburetor scenario. This is not what you want. Check out the FAQ for a thread by Tashasdaddy regarding cleaning/rebuilding the carbs.
If it is blowing fuel out the carburetor throat with each downward thrust of the piston that indicates a reed (leaf valve) problem.
