1990 Maxum 1800 need advice

I just recently acquired this boat in a similar fashion! As spring is approaching, it's time to to out the floor and put a new deck in. I'd love to pick other member's brains and use your experience to help my adventure. I'd love to have this project seaworthy by summer. My motor runs well, so that's not the issue, but my three primary projects are first, new deck, second, new wiring for lighting and accessories, and third, fresh upholstery. I'm hoping you all have insight and info that you can share from other rebuilds.

Hey John! Thanks for the guidance and helping me create an individual post. And Thanks for the Welcome guys!! So here's the quick story. This boat was bought by the last owner in 2009. It's a 1990 Maxum 1800 XR with a Force 90hp 3cyl 2--stroke outboard motor. The last owner put around $1500 into having the motor redone/fixed up(according to the wife and nephew of the last owner) then unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack in 2010. The boat has then sat uncovered since then. I believe them about the motor work, because under the engine cover, everything looked practically new, with the exception of a small mouse nest which I removed. All wires were good, in place, and intact. The interior is shot, and I know that, knew going in that it would guaranteed need a new deck and probably some of the support structure underneath. I picked it up for next to nothing with the trailer. The guy(owners nephew) could not get the motor started (dead and almost dead second battery) even attempting to jump start the motor. The trailer needs a wire brush in a few spots, some fresh paint, and i'll redo the wiring and it'll look like new. The interior, I haven't done much but pull up a few spots and verified that the majority if not all of the plywood needs to be replaced. The center of the deck can't support any weight. As i mentioned, the engine compartment was clean. I got a new marine deep cycle battery and a can of ether and hook up the engine flusher and ta-da, she ran! and not too bad if I say so myself. I still want to drop the bowls from the carbs, and clean them up. My only novice/red neck mistake was that it was burning the fuel that was in the tank. I didn't do anything to it but turn the key. So the motor ran fine but a little sluggish but myself and my buddy that was helping aren't new to motors, and it sounded fine, no major red flags. So I need to drain the tank, and clean it up and see what she does. The first thing we did was grabbed a bolt that fit, used it as a drain plug, and took it to a small local lake. We did take on a decent amount of water, but I dont know how much of it was preexisting and how much of it was due to our stand in drain plug. She floated well, no listing, and drove like a champ. So, my action plan for this boat starts out with getting a quote to redo the vinyl(this boat just needs intact vinyl, nothing fancy or even original, it's not a show boat) and ripping up the deck to see what i'm looking at and get an estimate for what my costs will be. if both of these are feasible and dont add up to way too much for this boat, then i'll complete the deck/structure rebuild, and then redo the wiring for lights/accessories, then finish with the engine tune. If at any point the estimate climbs too high, i'll just pull the motor off the boat, and scrap the hull and find a new one to put on my trailer and in front of my motor. Any insight and guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Did you have any luck finding a manual for the boat. I have the same exact boat and looking for a manual that would point me in the correct direction for under the dash wiring ect.

What is wrong with your vinyl? I do not see any cuts in the pictures? Check you structural items first before you worry about cosmetic items. Transom, stringers, bulkheads
