1990 mercury 135 black max not sparking

Hi can anyone give me some ideas on why my 1990 mercury 135 black max isnt sparking at all. i have cleaned and refited all the contacts i can find

Is the kill switch pin installed?

thanks for your reply. yes the switch is set to run and i have checked with meter and it is working fine

Since there is NO RETURN on electrical parts, you will want to be sure to troubleshoot the ignition system so as NOT to spend money on unnecessary parts.

I never remember the link here on iboats, but the same troubleshooting manual can be downloaded for free from CDI Electronics, link can be found on their parent site

thank you all for your help i have found that the last so called machanic had put all the wires in the wrong place now have the problem of finding a wiring diagram that covers the oil injection module and the idle adjust module. it will now run on 3 cyl but tests are showing that the stator and one of the switch boxes have gone also the ignition switch dosn't switch off the engine. so if anyone knows were i can download a detailed wiring diagramme for this mercury 135 black max s/n 0c248876 1990 i think, it would be much appreciated
