1990 Mercury 40HP Outboard

Hello

I just purchased a used bass tracker that included a 1990 Merc Outboard motor. I have always had an I/O motor, so this is new to me. Is there a manual for a novice user that explains the proper way to start this motor, and also how to winterize it properly?

you should be able to find a shop manual at a marina,if you have one close by,i have a 95 merc 40 hp and got a manual at local marina,its a clymers shop manual. it cost about 35 bucks, but have used it many time and very valuble info in it, has detailed drawing plus many time saver ideas,also saved me a few trips to repair marina.
just a thought.
