Hi everyone! When winterizing I noticed that the gear oil was milky ,so i decided to reseal the drive.Took some time the seal kit to cross the pond to Bulgaria Europe.Did the job clean and easy but there is something that worries me-when I installed the drive back i noticed that when in gear I don`t get free spinning in the opposite direction when turning the propeller by hand. The unit engages in forward neutral and reverse but won`t rotate freely in the opposite rotation as the other cobras and volvopentas do.The boat is still on the trailer ,cause I am afraid to test it in the lake.My DIY knowledge can`t find anything wrong,so please give me your insight on my problem(if any)! Thank you!Best regards Bago.

Could it be the lenght ajustment of the shifter rod?It shifts smooth and easy by hand. Thanks!

When my Cobra is in forward or reverse the prop will not freespin at all, are you sure about this ratched action, I've never heard of that.

Thank you guys, but in my marina there are few boats with Cobra and few with Volvo penta sx drives that I believe are pretty much the same and when in gear you can rotate the propeller in the relevant direction freely. But since your drives act like that I`ll test it on muffs tomorow. Thanks again!
