1991 Bayliner Capri ???

ok i bought this boat about 2 months ago and i have a few ? on it. I know its a 1991 capri but i would like to know the numbers that come after capri. its 19.5 foot long its has a 4.3 mericruser motor with a 3.0 out drive.. I know the motor is not stock but it runs like a top. I had it out on the water 3 times and i lost my forward gear.. I took it to a boat guys and he rebuilt the out drive and replaced the water pump. He charge me $2200 did i get a good price or did i get shifted ( was in the shop for 9 days)? thanks for any answers

First welcome to iboats! Second - the 91' Capri IMO was/is one of the best looking boats on the water. Has the classic lines that are timeless. Looks great with a ski - tower and blackend out windows. Anyways - that bill sounds high. Was it done at the marina? They run about 25% higher than some fix it shops in town from what I have found. But whats done is done. Keep it maintained and now you have a baseline on it's repairs...

There should be a hull id number right under the swim ladder, submit that to Bayliner customer service and they will give you all the details. I have a 90 capri 1800, but mine has a 90HP outboard. I bet yours rips with that 4.3 in it.

yes repairs where done at a marina. and thanks for the compliments on the boat. and ill try and get in touch with bayliner to get all the details.. also is there any body that might have a wiring diagrame for this boat?
