1991 DT225 suzuki boggs down at 2000rpm's

Any help would be greatly appriciated. I have my boat at the dealer right now, they have replaced 3 fuel injectors that were no operating right so far. But they are still stuck on the original problem. When this first happend, I was running at 4500rpm for about 15mins, I throtled a little more and the rpms started to drop to about 3000. After that I could not get above about 2600rpm's. The mecanics are not haveing much more luck than I did at finding the problem. I omh'ed out all 6 ignican coils and pulsar coils, all omh'ed out ok. The motor only bogges down under load. Any ideas? Thanks for any help. Bfast1fishing

Sounds like the rev limiter is kicking in, are you running within temp? is the oil pump doing its thing? Sounds like the safety system is locking it out from getting to wot.

Thanks for the reply, I hope that the mecanics are checking out all of the things that you menchioned. When it first happened, there were no warrings or anything out of the ordinary. They said that there are not any diognotic codes that show an over heat or oil flow condition. I hope they figure it out soon before summer is over or my wallet is empty. One other thing that I forgot to mention. The mecanics said that at 2600rpm's 2 cyclinders stop sparking. Would any of the safety sensors cause 2 coils to stop firing? I sugested that it may be an ignition coil or pulsar coil breaking down under load. Any ideas?

If it's not a fuel issue, then an ignition issue is possible, have they checked the fuel lines/fuel tank vent/fuel connections? Loss of cylinders is possible if you have a fuel vapor lock, which could cause no fuel to some of the cylinders, which can also be very damaging to those cylinders. Make them check all of these things while you have it there, if your already paying, you might as well get your moneys worth.
