1991 evinrude 150 vro removal

I have the pump disconnected but am not sure how to disconnect the wires from the oil tank. Is there a plug somewhere or do you just cut the wires.
I need to get the low oil warning turned off.

There will be a 3 or 4 wire plug that goes to the VRO pump unplug it.

There is a plug for the vro and the oil tank. The oil tank should have a black and tan wire coming from it. Don't forget to mix your fuel 50:1.

Do the wires from the tank go to the engine or to the console where the alarm Signal comes from?

They go to the mtr. Start at the tank and just follow them back to the mtr. You should find a connector.
