I have a hand held engine tachometer that will test rpm on 2 and 4 stroke engines. This tester has two different settings for 2 stroke. One setting ( 2:1) is for 2 stroke engines that fire the plugs once per revolution and another setting ( 2:2) for 2 stroke engines fire each plug in series twice per engine revolution.........If it was such a dumb question, why did you even respond?
Wouldn't surprise me Boobie as we are both of the west coast. My wife, may she rest in peace... I really had to watch what I said as if there was two ways to take what I said, one of which being wrong or possibly offensive, that's the way she would take it and I'd catch all kinds of hell.
