I still have the 1991 Force 35, which I want to get working. I left it off last year with it running really bad after it warns up. When it reaches operating temperature, it runs horribly. It stalls and starts hard and when it does run, it will stall at 50% power.

I've been through testing filter, carb, fuel line, and compression. All of them seems ok. I was wondering, could be be either the COIL or CD module or maybe both? Maybe the heat is causing some expansion in those electrical components?

Your opinions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I actually bought one of these last year for spark check/test. Looks exactly the same as the one you linked. I'll try again.

Hard to say and just replacing parts may end up costing you a lot of money and not fix the problem. Probably need to perform a spark check when hot to try and figure out if it is indeed an ignition problem first. If you can get one of the spark checkers that has an adjustable spark gap (click on link below) that would help.
