It's been a busy month(working).
I was able to put a few hours in this afternoon.
Also found out, a local shop just around the lake had all the OMC parts I needed.
fuel bilge is coated,,,

fuel tank back in with a couple of minor parts,,,

thanks, Russel.
being a contractor, had some Rustoleum oil based letf over.
Then my father in law & his buddy Revlon dropped by, removed all the pint striping,,,

outdrive is about ready to go back on.
Do you OMC guys put any gasket sealat on these new sierra gasket? or not,,,

The fuel bilge area looks good.
I removes some stripes from my boat as well, except I used a pinstripe eraser wheel on a drill. Now instead of red and orange stripes I have a white stripe on my yellowed gelcoat. Your gelcoat looks like it is still very white. That's nice.

shiny original gel coat finish behind those stripes.
eventually I'll have to buff her some more .

This boat is looking pretty good so far. The wrap around seating is a awesome idea, and it looks pretty good. What is the condition of the motor itself?

She has a low hours motor, under 300 HRS.
In my opinion 4.3 is one of the best GM produced.
previous owner had her suffered a bit from suffocation as U can tell from this pic.
rebuilt carb, oil change, new cap&rotor, plugs, timing adjustment,,,she is running like a champ.

Cobra is back on.
This is the little hand pump I use for just about everything,,,

feeding some Valvoline 75W-90,,,

seems like everything was aligned pretty good,,,OMC purrs like a kitten

That is a nice looking four winns. I have an opportunity to pick up a 1995 chris craft 23' concept cuddy that needs some work also. It has a 350 which has a cracked block due to no winterization and the top half of the boats paint is bubbling up. Since you are doing a restoration project of your own i was wandering if you think this boat would be worth doing the same to.

The weather has been awful around here. This Pacific NW rain is killing me softly.

Sharp lookin vessel,,CC has a lasting reputation for building some beautiful boats.
I saw a few of those with a 351/penta SX set up.
IMO Yes, she is well worth it.
I would check the overall condition,,,deck,stringer,transom,etc.
Who's gonna be doing the motor work?
How $$$ much do they want?

Looks like you are doing a fine job. Just an observation tho, I think your boat is a 1990 model year as mine is also. I believe there is a port hole window in the cuddy on a 1991 model. Just FYI

I just checked the 4winns web site,,,,,yup there is a little oval shape cuddy window on a 91 model.
Bt the way nice boat U got there man.

So, did you use gasket sealant on the sterndrive? (You asked if you should use it or not a few posts up). I need to put mine on in the next couple weeks, and was wondering if it was fine without it or not....

no gasket sealant,,,
new Sierra gasket has been updated.

These are the actual factory manuals, not aftermarket. It will tell you everything you need to know about your engine model and outdrive, from tearing down the starter motor, to resealing the trim rams.

It has saved me alot of money.
