I just picked up a 1978 21 foot Mako with a 1991 Johnson 225 on it for 1200 bucks 
The previous owner stated that the engine ran fine last time he used it approximately 5 years ago. I can get the engine to run for about 5 to 10 seconds but then it shuts down. What should I do? Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
