1991 mercruiser bravo II 454

Hello, My neighbor called and is having trouble with warning buzzers going off in his 1991 28ft sea ray with mercruiser bravoII 454 inboard/outboard engine. Kinda alast minute call but I am driving up to Lake Crawley tommorow to help him out. Any kind suggestions as to where to start and what to loook for would be appriciated

Start with the gear oil resivoir.If this is a new unit or the gearoil has been recently changed it is not uncommon for the resivoir to drop to the point of a warning horn.

Hey thank you very much didn't get a chance to read your answer until i got back sunday but that is exactly what the buzzer was<br /><br />Now we have a new problem, doesnt want to get up to full speed found one pluge wire arching out the top of dist. cap decided to do plugs ,points , cap rotor and wires any othe suggestions<br />Thanx again

The tune up thing is a good start but remember that at Crowly you are operateing at altitude and the best advice will come from the locals.
