1991 Mercuiser 4.3 ignition system update

My boat had the old Thunderbolt IV system and the spark amplifier went bad and I'm trying to update ignition system by installing an EST distributor and coil. I have wiring diagrams for the Thunderbolt IV and the later design TBV with the module mounted on the side of distributor. But I can't find any installation instructions for this update. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Both TB4 and 5 and EST has purple wire going to coil

I've already purchased a distributor, coil, the harness that goes between the distributor and coil, the 'timing tool', and the single black wire connector that fits the distributor, but I'm lost on the wiring from there.
