I have a 1991 procraft 200 pro. I contacted the folks that bought out procraft and came up empty. I contacted the Alabama Marine police and they advised that I was required to have one but that is all the information I coul get from them. I contacted the USCG and was told to find someone with the same year and model as mine and use that information for my plate. Does anyone have a 1991 procraft 200 pro that would share this information? I have had the boat a year now and would love to get it in the water without worrying about a ticket. Thanks for you help and suggestions.

Some of what you need is HERE. Not sure max weight or number of persons is for that boat.

Welcome aboard.

Thanks. I was hoping to find the owner of a 1991 procraft 200 pro and get all the info and get one made.

I have been searching for someone who has one for sale to get info from but have hit a brick wall there as well.

Maybe re-check with the marine cops in Alabama - just a little to your north in TN, a capacity plate is not required to operate the boat and (in my experience) that's pretty standard. A capacity plate IS required from the manufacturer, but not for the owner/operator here in TN - and the way I read AL's regs it was the same there. I would check because there are quite a few boats that you couldn't get a plate like that for.

I have been told that a capacity plate is required on the waters in alabama. However the marine police will not advise how to go about getting a plate for a boat. With the manufacturer no longer in business I am at a loss. Really hoping someone with a 200 pro will contact me with this information.
