Hi, I have a 1991 Yam 60 that when trimmed or tilted up will creep back down fast enough to be observed. I have been told it's the non return valves. Are these repairable as I have been quoted lots of money for a new one!

Re: 1991 Yam 60Trim/Tilt Problem

hello
can be a lot of things.
could be the manual release valve could be a main valve or a bad oring on a piston.
its not a terrible job to disasemble it and repair it. is yours the singe ram system or the three ram>
some were tilt only.
good luck and keep posting but i would opt to repair the unit if it was not corroded away.

It's the three ram type. It's in good condition with little corrosion & no fluid leaks.
