Hello all, Recently I picked up a boat with a 92 60HP Evinrude, 3 cylinder oil injected. Everything on the motor is in good shape, tilt, lower unit, etc. But, the big but, is no compression in the top cylinder. 120 in the other two. My question is, would it makes sense to repair this motor or junk it and find a used one to replace it? I have been involved in a few mercury motor rebuild/repairs, but never an Evinrude. Picked up a couple manuals from the library and it seems pretty straight ahead. Didn't seem to call for any special tools, or great knowledge, but it always looks easier on paper that reality... I do have a decent shop and a local machinist that says he can handle things along that order. What do you think?
Thanks

Easy fix they are,------But you must determine what happened or it will go---pooofff ------again.-------There may be a number of service bulletins to make minor changes on cooling system

Pull the head and take a look. It could be just a blown head gasket.
