It's Model #E60TLENE. Runs great, starts easily. Two weeks ago the trim worked just fine. We tried it last night, so we could fish today, & nothing. I can hear the relays clicking, but the motor(s) aren't coming on. Manual release works fine. Battery is well charged. Is there a fuse under the cowling somewhere? Any Ideas? Thanks in advance!

Long time, no hear welcome back. See if the connection where the blue/green wires connect to the relay wires has a good clean contact. That's the connection just under the relay box. My 150's connection gets corroded sometimes and I have to spray with battery cleaner to get a good connection. Other than the motor going out one time(replaced) never had any problem except that connector. Hope that's what yours is. How's the 9.9/15 doing?

Hi Will, I've been here, just haven't felt the need to offer my tiny lil bit of advice on anything, ha ha! The 9.9 is doin fine, ran it yesterday instead of my friend's 60HP. We checked that conector, I think, but I'm on my way to check it again. Thanks for the advice! Always glad to hear from ya, buddy!

checked that connector on both sides. I put a straight pin through the wires, one at a time, & got good voltage at the trim motor on both the up & down wires. Good ground too. Guess my buddy's gonna need a trim motor. The one he has is an ARCO #6421, 12V. This company is in Pensacola, FL. I'm gonna look for one on Saturday. My day is FULL tomorrow.

You probably already did; but did you try lightly tapping the motor with a small hammer to see if one of the brushes had backed away from the commutater?

Yes, on my 150 it lasted for another 6 or 7 trips before it finally quit. It's on its way to replacement now if not later. The springs get so weak that they won't keep the brushes up tight is what I found when I tore the old one apart. Hope that's what it is for you.

Thanks for the insight on the springs, Will. The last 2 days have been REALLY hectic for me. I'll PM ya, but I didn't make it over to my bud's house to try it today. Reguardless, I'll let him know to be savin for that lil motor. Maybe we gan get a trip or two outta it before it dies. I just really hate gettin stuck on the water!
