zinc anode 020.jpgzinc anode 016.jpgI'm attempting to change out my annode, my old one has some hairline cracks in it so i took the part number off the old one which is made by volvo and ordred a new one. The problem is the new one is about 3/16 of an inch smaller in thickness and now i have a gap between the prop and the annode. So i called the company up that i ordered the part from and told them what's going on so they sent me another one, the same thing:mad:. The funny thing about all this is that the new part and the old one has the same part number and the new one bolts up to the outdrive:confused: The company called Volvo and they said they haven't changed the design of the part(i think they are full of it) anybody out there have this problem?

I would bet your new anode is not an OEM. Probably one of the aftermarket anodes. They usually put the OEM part number on it them for ID purposes.

Well it came in a volvo box, and all the other numbers that were on there match up to the way Volvo does their numbers(old part numbers etc...)
