Ok.. heres the details on whats going on with the engine.
1992 15HP long shaft owned since 1994 and has low hours
sat for 4 years and just before storage in 2008 would bog down after engine got hot (may not be related) wasn't too bad but it would definitely loose some HP. replaced the coils recently thinking that might be the problem.
thermostat has been removed.
Got it out this past week and ran it for a while.. .seemed ok but plugs looked wet (water?)
replaced the impeller this evening since it was original.
Ran fine but once warmed up the water would stop streaming out of the cooling port in the back. shut down immediately.
lastly there seem to be fine cracks on the carburator bowl.
I'm concerned that it overheated at some point and how I have a crack in engine. makes sense when it warms the
crack opens up and lets water in.
any thoughts would be great? what can I do to pinpoint the problem. compression check?
