hello again. here alot about carbon build up in force motors. just wanted to know if what i am doing is a good thing or not. i use wal mart oil super tech and 89 to 92 oct fuel. also i add a wal mart brand of fuel stablizer that says for all marine motors to keep fuel fresh. i use it every time i gas up. 1 oz to 1 gal of gas. just would like to know if this is any good or not to doo. thanks mark

Re: 1992 force out board

You couldn't hqave picked a better oil for your outboard,Mark. But I have found my Force to run poorly with added stabilizer. But if you use it,stick to lower octane fuels. The shop manual reccomends 87octane, no alcohol fuel 50:1.
In addition to the steps you are taking now, get a can of Seafoam or ValvTect 2cycle marine engine decarb cleaner, and decarbonize the engine twice a season, following the destructions on the can.
The force motors are no more carbony than other engines (except for the newer VRO and FICHT engines).
But the stuff will ruin a motor quickly.
