To make this as brief and as accurate as possible, I have a 92 Mariner 75 hp (3 cyl) that is oil injected. The other day I ran the boat and it was running fine until an alarm started beeping here and there. I took the boat back to my trailer and as I would accelerate the alarm will stop. I purchased a manual and read that sometimes the low oil sensor will go bad causing the beep or sometimes it is the temperature switch so I followed the manual trouble shooting guide and it said to disconnect the black wire from the termial block that runs to the temp switch and turn the key to the on position. I did this and the beep stopped which my manual says indicates a faulty temp switch. I then proceeded to test the low oil sensor by disconnecting the 2 light blue wires from their bullet plugs to check for continuity with a volt meter and that test was also positive for a faulty low oil sensor. Needless to say I have premixed my gas 50:1 just to be safe. What are the odds that both the temp switch and low oil sensor go bad or does the temp switch cause a bad reading with the oil sensor? Should I fix this problem or how do I go about removing the oil injection system and just premixing? Thanks for any help!

Was the alarm you heard a "beep, beep, beep, etc." or was it a constant "beeeeeeepp"? Steady beep indicates temp; beep, beep, beep, etc indicates an oil issue.

the beep varies, most of the time it is a beep beep beep then sometimes it sounds like an internet modem and cuts in and out as I throttle up or down.

Sounds as though either the sender in the tank is bad, or the warning module itself is bad.
