1993 15 hp Merc NO SPARK?

Hey everyone I am new to the forum but was hoping to get a little help from some of the pro's.

I have a 1993 15 hp Mercury, last time I used the motor it started fine and shortly after it started it died and I have had no spark after that. So far I have ruled out the kill switches, I have done a ohm check on the stator and it is within specs, I have a hard time believing that both coils would go a once. My question is what are the best and most reliable checks I can do on the trigger and the switch box. Any other ideas would be appreciated too.

On CD ign. the best and most reliable tests are done with a DVA meter. With a ohm meter you may also check the trigger winding for continuity

I will check the trigger from wire to wire, what is the specs for the resistance?

Thanks Laddies, I checked for continuity through the trigger and it appears to be open. I guess I will order a new trigger and give it a try. You wouldn't happen to know the part number for the trigger or where to find it?
