Two things weather they are related or not I don't know but they kind of started at the same time. I get the warning tone that tells me I'm low on oil but its not even below half tank. This happens now and then, that is to say it's not on all the time. I did pull the pick up from the oil tank to look it over and I tested it by closing the circuit (pushing the float down to make contact) and the horn worked correctly every 40 seconds or so. Can a float go bad?
I also get the tone that says I have either a fuel restriction or over heat condition. I know its not over heat because this will happen when I first start it. Like the other tone this is not all the time. This fuel restriction tone is some times very faint but as I get in the gas it will get louder and as I get out of the gas it will fade away. The restriction cant be very bad because I still run as good as ever maybe 1 or 2 mph slower but I do have more gear on board. The fuel filter is really clean so I have no idea what to look for or even try, to figure out why this is happening. There is a vacuum switch for the fuel supply on the motor and it is $110.00 so I want to be sure about things before I start buying parts. I assume that this switch is for the warning horn. I hope someone out there has experience with this and can point me in the right direction.
One more thing when I turn the key I get a short tone like I'm supposed to. Some times the tone will not stop (possibly that vacuum switch?), then I will turn the key back off and on again and all is fine. A couple times I had to turn the key a few times to get it to stop. I have started the motor when the tone will not stop to see if it would run good or not and it runs very good. I compression tested last week to see if something was really wrong and it has 110psi all around just like the last 3 years I have owned it so I know its getting oil. Also the plugs look good. Please help!!!

If you read the mssgs you'l see this is a common problem, it can be anything from fuel leak to bad horn to wiring short in the horn circuit , or bad tempt sensor in head or bad vac sensor at pump.
when horns starts , disconnect the big red plug, if horn continues look for a problem at the control end, check ignition switch (key barrel can twist and short due to loose bezel).
Get the manual too, it helps a lot.
