Just caught on to your thread! Looks fantastic man. Great job on the build. I look forward to seeing the finished product. That floor is just sick! Takes alot of patience to do work like that. Being in the remodeling business myself, I can relate to being a perfectionist. Great job man.:) Budd

Next, I did some rigging, mounted the engine, and console and seat base. Then, I mounted the horn and bow light, and installed the two front speakers (5 1/4" Jensen Marine), and two new console speakers (6 1/2" Kicker Marine). I installed all new hatches and deck plates (Beckson) as well as the ski pole mounting base and SS rod holders. Then I re-installed the marine radio, cd player, gps/fishfinder and antennas. I used pieces of 1 1/2" angle aluminum 5200'd and screwed down as mounting tabs for my console and seat base. Then I installed the track for my rub rail. Then I re-installed the SS bow rail, trim tabs, and new ball scuppers.

Here's how it looked at that point......

Sometimes you have to be a contortionist during rigging.....this was the most difficult part wiring up the bow light and horn.....

Next, all that was left was to put on the new rub rail, and clean everything up.I don't have too many finished pics yet, as I have taken off all of my upholstered surfaces to have them re-done. In a couple of weeks I should have new upholstery and my new bimini top fabric should be here soon, so I'll polish up the frame, install the new fabric, and mount it on the boat. After I get everything, I'll post some more pics....hopefully some of her actually on the water.

But here's an idea of a closely finished product.....

Now, I have already taken it out several times, it jumps up on plane way faster than before, and tops out at about 42MPH (GPS) going down the channel....I'm pretty pleased with that!!

Not to mention the benefits.....this is my buddy Ray with a 22" Redfish

Just an update, as I haven't posted on this thread in a while....I did get a new battery charger. I went with a ProSport8 onboard, replacing a ProSport12. I also installed a cigarette lighter outlet, and built new wood backings for upholstery and sent out to be done....they should be back within the next week, so I'll post pics then...Merry Christmas to everybody following my thread!!

Clearly I am late to the party, but well done. Pattern in the anti-skid is spot on! Really great looking boat. And as GT1M said a ways back, 6mo is a lightening fast build!

Congrats & good luck w/ the Redfish!

Re: 1993 17' Center Console Complete Refurbish

I have searched and searched for another boat like mine. Finally, I found it. I am impressed with your project. I am restoring the same model and I am in a similar situation and it does me good to see a brother boat of my old Osprey. It's my understanding that these were made off of the Cape Horn 16 mold, they were a recall boat and were discontinued. I got mine on a even trade for a 1960's model v-hull Jon boat that I had restored. I have a Johnson 88 special on it with the 115 carbs. The deck on mine has been replaced twice before i ever got it and man did they do a horrible half ***** job. I have pictures posted and I need to update them so i can show case my work. My boat's hull itself is in great shape but beyond that its a "from the hull up" restoration. I am again so impressed with your work on it, if mine turns out half as good as yours is I will be very happy. If you get a chance check out my profile and look over my boat and throw me some feedback. -Fishykivette

Hello fishykivette, thanks for stopping by. I'm glad to finally see someone else that owns one of these boats. There couldn't have been very many made, and I also couldn't find any info on the manufacturer. This has been a very good boat, even with the rotten interior this boat was sea worthy and was used for fishing and skiing/watersports. I am now very pleased with this boat, performance wise and looks, and it gets used much more often now days. I tried looking at your posts, however the only pic of your boat I can find is the profile pic.
