1993 20 hp omc timing number

the timing is currently 28 degrees....I'm under the understanding that 18-19 is correct but i completely ran out of threads... is 28 correct?

I understand the procedure so i really only need the correct timing.... any help is more then appreciated

My manual says 28-31

currently at 26 and its screaming.. will move it up to 28 in spring

don't know about yours, but 87 25 is 34. just did the motor per Joes Reeves instructions, runs perfect. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=228183
