I have a 1993 excel with the 4.3l v6. I have tried for days to find any specs.
The spec im looking for is idle rpms.
my boats seems to be idling high, around 1000 rpms in neutral. What is the
spec for this? Also is there a starting point dor adjusting the air/fuel to the idle.

Thanks!

Assuming you have a 4.3 GL, your idle needs to be within 550 to 650 rpms, warm, and in forward gear. The idle speed is adjusted using the flat head screw on the throttle levers that connect the carb to the throttle cable. If you are having poor idling performance in addition to the high idle, too rich or lean the starting point of the idle/air needles on the sides of the metering block is one turn out on each from seat (seat them very lightly), then turn each in equally till the motor stumbles and then back out till reaching a smooth idle. Then set idle speed last. This all based on the assumption you have a Holley 2bbl carb 550 cfm.

All of the above info along with much more can be found in the carb and engine manual found here:

Thanks for the help. My carb only has the idle screw and one screw on the front for the air/fuel. I can get it down to about 700. Smooth. But any lower the motor wants to stumble. Also this is one the muffs and in neutral. Should I be in the water then adjust it? Thanks again!

Yes, in the water engine up to operating temp and in gear. 700 rpms out of gear or on the muffs is pretty close.
