1993 48 SPL carb adjustment

just bought a 1993 Evinrude 48 SPL that won't idle. The previous owner messed with the rich/lean screws and timing screw. Does anyone know a good starting position for these? I know most mercs are 1-1/2 turns out from lightly seated but what is it for an omc? thanks, Don

Initial low speed setting is 2-1/2 turns out from gently seated.
