1993 60hp Johnson/Tracker no spark

I got the DVA adapter just wanting to make sure I am doing right so I don't mess something else up. I have adapter plugged in to my meter and have it set on 400v plus then I should hold negative to one wire and positive to other wire that is being tested for connected according to trouble shooting guide I am confused though it also has a reading for DVA disconnected.

Yeah like you can test wires coming from stator to power pack while connected to power pack or test stator wires while disconnected from power pack. Don't disconnect wires going to coil packs though unless you have a load resistor to take the load off power pack. So test voltage between stator wires and between your timer base wires while connected and post them.

If voltage off stator is low while connected to power pack check voltage while disconnected from power pack if voltage is now acceptable your power pack is probably bad. If voltage is still low and engine is turning at least 250 rpm then stator is bad

So so far until I get extra hands lol. DVA reading on brown to brown/yellow wire 250 orange to orange/black 150 this is with the power pack in plugged. Battery sounds weak so fixing to put it on charge and do more test .

Google cdi electronics troubleshooting and find your motor make,model, year. Go through the procedures. Make a simple spread sheet and write down results. Confirm them with specs in trouble shooting guide

I have the CDI guide and already done most of it other than a few of the readings for DVA will try and get readings today battery is fully charged again.

Here is what I got today with DVA
brown to brown/yellow connected 285 disconnected 351
orange to orange/black connected 12 disconnected 197
white to white black connected 5
white to purple 0
white to blue 0
white to green 0

So question is the trigger and pack both bad???
