1993 70hp Evinrude Disconnecting VRO

I was wondering what one would do, if they wanted to disconnect their VRO on a 1993 70HP evinrude. <br /><br />I've got to believe that there is more then just clamping off the line. <br /><br />What about the alarms, and stuff? <br /><br />Thanks
