1993 70hp smokes a lot

My 93 Johnson 70hp smokes a ton but runs fine. Normal in every way and runs great just a lot of smoke. Any issues I should worry about?

i did some thing the other day , hung a rag in front of the carbs while the motor was running on the radiator , i wanted to stop the dust coming into the carbs cause the fan sucks air in towards the carbs , it smoked heaps i took the rag away & it was all sweet , may be just check your butter flys while you at it , cheers

Could have a bad VRO or a fuel restriction.

Depends on how bad the restriction is. You have to check this with a vacuum gauge and the correct fittings installed in the fuel line.
