I just bought a 1993 Crownline 196 BR. It's been stored for years so I plan to remove the fuel tank access cover to siphon out all gas. I will replace the access cover gasket. This is a 40 gallon tank.
Does anyone know wat company made this gas tank so I can order the correct access cover GASKET

Unfortunately, I store this boat in another state so I can't check the label on the tank, until I get out there to start working on it. I'll have a week to get it running and no time to wait for on-line parts to be delivered. I might have to just buy (from the link you sent) and hope for the best.

You can also siphon (pump actually) from the main fuel line . . . no need to remove the sender, unless you want some visual of the tank internals.

Here is a pic of my Crownline gas tank access port. 6 screw holes and OD is 12-1/2"
Any idea where I can find a replacement gasket. 1993 CrownLine 196BR with 40 gallon tank

They're readily available but vary by manufacturer.
You'll need to pull the cover to get the mfg. off the unit.

I replaced all eight of my access port o-rings due to age.
Ordered the correct size rings from McMaster Carr.
Saved quite a bit of $$$ over purchasing individually from the mfg.

Now I'm wondering if this is a pop-up lid that exposes the sending unit. I need to open the tank to siphon all the 15 year old fuel out

I guess I'm now looking for a sending unit gasket. I'm wondering is they are pretty standard. It will be difficult for me to get another pic since the boat is stored 1200 miles away

Yes, its a pop lid...you can see the "pry" location on the right side

5 holes sending unit gaskets are all pretty much the same.
All you want on Amazon
