I recall reading about issues with the vro pumps on certain motors. Is this a good one?

Seller claims 125 compression on all 3 cylinders.

Whats a good price? Im in Florida.

My current motor, 55hp evinrude, has 145 compression. Ive heard anything over 100 is ok. How is 125 for this motor?

Good motor and that compression is fine. Most of the bugs were worked out by 1993 :)

I have zero idea on price..............that's a regional and seasonal thing

For a '93 I'd think anything around $1000 would be fair.

$700-900. With controls. If you don't controls, or the motor for sale doesn't have them, price them out first.

The main thing on compression is that they are consistent with each other.

VRO is not a bad system. I had a 70 Johnson with it and now I have another 70 without it (removed). My theory is that with older boats, I'd rather not have a system that might fail with catastrophic results, but I probably wouldn't disconnect or not buy a VRO for that reason.

70 OMC is a good motor, a real work horse. Mine was a 1988 now a 1986.
