I have a 1993 Mariner 135. A new trim motor was installed and the Mechanic did not fill the hydraulic fluid. What is the correct way to fill this unit? The lower "fill" screw that is accessed through a hole on the right motor mount bracket is too deep to get the cone on the Hydraulic oil tube to seal into. Is there a special tool for doing this??? What is the proper way to fill the unit to make sure you get the least amount of air as you fill. Do you remove the upper screw/knob and fill from the bottom until it runs out of the top liks a lower unit??? We filled it as best we could but the motor will not stay up. It falls slowly so there is air in the system of not enough fluid.....HELP?!
Thanks!
