The motor is a 1993 ELPTO 20in 4cylinder 2 cycle 115HP Mercury with a 13 pitch prop. I rebuilt the fuel pump, water pump, and carburetors. I also replaced the coils, spark plugs, and leads from the coils to the spark plugs. The serial number on the motor is #0D212485. I don't know what is wrong with this motor as to it won't get the boat up on a plain. I believe it might only be firing on two cylinders since I believe these motors have the 2+2 or possibly a timing issue. The previous owner had a 125HP on this boat and he was able to pull water skiers. The boat the motor is on is a 1995 206 OB Fun Deck that weighs 2045lbs. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Post the results of a compression test.----Does spark jump a gap of 3/8" on all 4 leads , yes or no ?-----Yes it is a motor that only runs on the top 2 cylinders up to 1800 RPM----Then the bottom 2 CARBURETORS kick in and it runs on all 4.

Make sure the fuel system is clean from tank to fuel injectors.
You should clean the fuel injectors and replace the fuel filter on the end of the fuel injector, it's on you tube

Mr. Tom - Once again you should read the thread. The motor is carbureted and has no fuel injectors. And what fuel injector has a fuel filter on the end? You are making things up!
