1993 Sundancer 290 7.4l bravo2 330 hrs Tn River
My prop hub gave out and its a 21 inch aluminum. Never have hit anything with it and it looks good to me and the prop repair shop says it can be re-hubbed. The shop owner says he's not set up for the big bravo 2 props and recommended another shop in town. My concern is this prop turns about 4600 wide open and trimmed right which is also about 35 MPH. This with 3/4 fuel load (75 gal) and I do have a genset on my boat.

Wide open throttle and trimmed just right equal 4600rpm and about 34-35MPH
Cruising speed 24-26 mph = 34-3600 rpm.
Id like to get the rpm down some at cruise.
The 23 inch should drop Rpm by 400 which would be in the range according to Quciksilver.

I dont want to spend money on repairing this 21 inch prop if I can be better off just buying a 23 inch.
Anyone running a 23 on their 290 454ci?
