1993 tyee grand sport baitwell

I use my baitwell to keep a small cooler and other things in. i can't keep water from coming in. the drain hole is a little bigger than the livewell drains.
Is there a different plug for the baitwell? I wrapped teflon tape around the plug and that helped some, but a little water was still getting in. I tried using silicone on the plug and that let more water in.
any suggestions?

One of these would probably work. 3 different sizes.

I think I might have figured it out. I put the plug in and filled the baitwell while the boat was in the driveway and not a drop came out of. I think the water is comming in back thrugh the overflow. It is a short hose from the overflow to the transom drain and I have been going in lake erie where there have been waves splashing into the splash well while drifting. So I am going to put a plug in the overflow and see what happens.
