Does anyone know what the max rated horsepower is for this boat?

The HIN plate on the back of the boat should give you that information. If it's not there check under the dash or splashwell. Possibly 140HP

You can look it up on the NADA web site. You could post a question on the "Stipers Owners Club" SOC website.

I have a 21 foot SS, and it is rated for 200HP max. I will guess the 20 footer would be rated for 150-175HP. My boat handles just fine with a 150HP Johnny.
