Hi,
I just bought a '94 Campion Allante 180 Special Edition bowrider with Volvo Penta 4.3GL/SX. The rear of the boat has a slight molded "swim platform" across the boat. When I tilt up the stern drive, it hits the underside of the platform before it is all the way up. The bottom of the leg is then below the hull line. I don't see any way of raising it any higher save for carving a slot in the platform. Is this really how they built them? The tilt will keep trying to go up unless you release the button. So I think the limit switches are not set up properly either.
This photo shows it almost as high as it will go.
