1994 Capri 1952

just purchased this boat a few weeks back. I'm not new to boating, but this is my 1st I/O, and cutty. anyone know if the 1952 has the wires in the harness to install a trim gauge?

yes, it should have a brown and white wire run all the way up under the dash. it was an option so they ran the wire for it but not many ever got one installed from bayliner. on mine the wire is just sitting under the dash ziptied to some other wires.

thanks.... so now I need to find a gauge to match the factory white face US Marine gauges and the sensors. Which leads me to my next question. I see a lot of trim gauges from $35 and up, I assume these do not include the sensors, correct? thanks, Bill

the outdrive should have the sensors on it already, you just need the gauge and hook it up. well, mine has them anyways. thats where the brown wire is run from.

headed to the Marina later today, so I'll look at the outdrive or follow the wires. thanks...

i dont know about yours, but on my OMC its on the starboard side of the outdrive, i wanna say right below the hydraulic ram. its on the hull side of the outdrive.

brown and white wires under dash are from sender on outdrive, you can jump purple and black from another gauge. Got my gauge from Ebay for $17. You may have to adjust the sender, it's a round disc on the side of the outdrive.
