Ummmmmm. I am in Delhi Ontario Canada. I am about 2 hours East of the boarder. I was gonna google Wilson Larine to see where it was. Now I know. ;)

LOL. I saw that after I asked as I continued reading your forum. Your project looks great! The assembly beats the hell out of the tear out.

We finished glassing all of the stringers this weekend after a VERY long day. Tonight I will attempt to recover. I still need to finish glassing the engine mounts which shouldn’t take long. I also started fitting the deck pieces which I am happy with. Since I have a Model of the boat I decided to put all of my holes for foaming in ahead of time while cutting them out on the CNC router. I will need to make the stepped plugs but that should be easy. I have used just over 12 gallons of resin so far and have the deck and a couple miscalanious items to finish up (re-attaching the bow section, hydraulic pump mount and battery tray). I made need a couple more gallons but will have a better idea once I glass the bottom side of the decking. We are starting to get to the fun part. The weather is breaking and I am eager to be on the water.

Sorry all that I haven't posted much recently. I went on vacation so progress had been halted. I have the deck in, foamed and glassed. I am ready to start working on the outdrive and prepping that for installation (new water pump, gear lube change, etc). Also going to tune up the engine and do an oil change before dropping it in. I will try to get some photos uploaded soon. It doesn't look like I will meet my goal of May completion but it should start moving along now that all of the nasty work is out of the way.

Good to hear your still at it. I hate reading some of the posts that go stale and never finished.

Im still on my 3rd pail of resin and I am. Ow thinking I might have to get another one. The hard stuff may be done but the fit and finish will still take a fair bit. I figure with my swimdeck and bench seat as well as side panels I will still eat up a fair bit of resin. Not so much on glass materials though. No end of June splash for me by the looks of how things are going but maybe July and sure as hell I will have the boat at least floating in a river or something before fall. I have some paddles so I can make the noises needed if necessary;).

Yep. Still at it. It will get done just not as soon as I had hoped. I wish I had posted more photos but it's time consuming since I can't just post from my phone due to size limitations. I am at 18 gallons right now and just have a few little things to do yet with resin so should be at 19 total. I ended up with about 20 extra yards of chop. Oh well, better to have extra instead of waiting for materials. I will try to send more updates.

I found an app for resizing. I wish I had found one long ago. Anyway, the deck is installed, foam poured and is now glassed with two layers of chop. The stepped plugs worked great. They fit perfectly with no gaps and set at the perfect height. I used an angle grinder with a 2" scotchbrite pad to clean up excess foam and seal them with resin. Also finished glassing the engine mounts.

Gelcoat is done so I started on the outdrive and engine. I replaced the waterpump components and did an oil change and tune up on the engine. I also started working on carpeting the rear seat and sun deck supports.

Thanks Eric. The fun part has begun. Got the transom plate and gimbal assembly installed and replaced all of the bellows so the outdrive is ready to go in as soon as the engine is aligned. I plan to glass in the bow section and finish up carpeting the rest of the interior parts this week. Hopefully I can drop in the engine as well.

Nice method for mounting your chairs!

Getting to the point where we need to start thinking about a cover. We will be adding a wakeboard tower so we are thinking that a bow and cockpit cover would be best. Doesn't have to be for trailering, just for storage. Can anyone recommend a source for OEM or aftermarket covers made specifically for our boat? Thanks!

We installed the engine this weekend and once aligned installed the outdrive as well. It went really well and the alignment was very close to start with. Must have done something right with the new engine mounts and glass.

I installed the fuel tank yesterday as well as started glassing the bow section back in. I will need to do glass on the outside of the bow section this week. I also have everything hooked up in the back aside for the trim pump and trim sensors.

There aren't to many places making custom fit covers stock on the shelves for these older boats. The best you will find is full over the sides cover that semi custom fit. If you want a real good fit you will have to make or have one made. I bought a semi decent one and made it fit with trimming and sewing.

Are those screw into the top of the tank for the brackets?

Looking good.
