motor stutters on acceleration. Tried changing fuel fiter, de-carb and checked plugs. Run fine after it gets on plane.

Hi awp....<br /><br />You may have a low speed miss. Possibly from a weak ignition coil(s). Do a spark test and see if all the sparks are there at cranking. A good spark should jump a 1/2inch gap and be strong and white.

60 degree engine right? check the coils for arcing to metal plate that covers the powerpack, sometimes you can see the burnt spot on the plate. Check the coils like OBJ said, all of this ok, do a running test of pack output voltage to coil while comming up on plane, you should check all cylinders.
