I am going to order and replace the VRO/ Fuel pump on a 1994 Johnson 225 oceanrunner, the part number is #5007420- 4 wire. Do I have to do anything special when replacing this or just bolt it back up and hook up the hoses and plug? I was wondering if I needed to prime it?- I have the old one off, very easy to take off it only has 3 small bolts and disconnected the hoses and unplugged the 4 wire connection. I've did a search on line and found several different prices ranging from $316.00 to $398.00.

Thanks

go with the new OMS pump, not the VRO2 pump. great upgrade. yes you have to prime oil and fuel sides.

Whats the best way to prime the pump? Do I just hook up the in-side hoses and pump the fuel and oil bulbs till it comes out the out let side?

Thanks

What's the blue and gold fitting threaded into the lower crank case?
