1994 Larson SEI 174

Hey everyone! I just picked up a 94 Larson SEI 174 with a 4.3L Vortec. I am new to boats so I am not sure exactly how to work on them. I was told before you run the boat out side of the water, you are supposed to hook a garden hose to them? Would anyone know where I am supposed to hook the hose on one of these boats? Also, what would the chances be that this boat would have a cracked head after it already popped a freeze plug?<br /><br />Dustin

That would depend on what engine/drive package you have. Mercruiser? Volvo? OMC? Other?<br /><br />

Very good chance, but a better chance you cracked a block, intake manifold, or exhaust manifolds, or all of the above.<br />BTW, they are not freeze plugs, they are core plugs used to plug holes in the casting needed during manufacturing. They were not put in there to protect the engine from freeze damage.
